The Full Story

Hi I'm Lori!

For years, I lived with symptoms that didn’t make sense, pain that lingered, moments that didn’t feel right, and a quiet knowing that something deeper was going on. But time and time again, I was told everything was fine. That it was nothing. That it was in my head.

It wasn’t.

After nearly a decade of searching, I was finally diagnosed with a condition that changed the trajectory of my life. But the diagnosis wasn’t the end of the journey, it was the beginning of a new one.One marked by uncertainty, fear, and a faith I had to learn how to hold onto when nothing made sense.

Living with chronic illness reshaped everything for me: my plans, my identity, even the way I understood healing. I had to learn how to sit in the unknown, how to wrestle with questions that didn’t have clear answers, and how to keep believing when nothing seemed to be changing.

And somewhere in the middle of that, I found something unexpected.

Not easy answers. Not instant healing.
But a steady, refining faith that held on when I didn’t have the strength to.

Now, I share my story for the people who are still in that space: the ones waiting for answers, navigating life that looks different than they imagined, and searching for hope that feels real, not forced.

My writing explores the intersection of chronic illness and faith: the doubts we don’t always say out loud, the resilience we don’t always recognize in ourselves, and the quiet ways God shows up in the middle of it all.

This isn’t a story about having everything figured out.
It’s about learning how to keep going anyway.

Why I Write

Because there was a time I needed these words and couldn’t find them.

In the middle of questions, waiting, and feeling unseen, I longed for something honest. Not quick answers or easy encouragement, but something real, something that could sit with me in the hard places.

So I’m writing the words I once needed.
The kind that remind you you’re not alone, even here.
